The drama is about Kim Shin, a general during the Goryeo era, who is accused of treason and executed by a jealous king. Kim Shin is reborn as an immortal Goblin and protector of souls. Kim Go Eun perfectly plays the character of Ji Eun-tak who is a bubbly and optimistic 19 year old destined to be the Goblin’s bride which makes her immune to his powers.

Her portrayal of Ji Eun-tak earned her a second nomination for Best Actress at the 53rd Baeksang Arts Awards. The drama won the Grand Prize.

Explaining how they actually went to Canada to film, Kim Go Eun said, “I remember [the scene] especially because I seriously immersed myself while filming because I felt mentally burdened and worried about that scene. It was a scene that was very burdensome for both protagonists, but I was happy to have felt such emotions.”
